1. Acceptance of These Terms

By submitting an enquiry, requesting a reservation, making a payment, or staying at The Mud House, the guest acknowledges that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

These terms are intended to set clear expectations for both the property and its guests. Any special arrangement agreed for an individual booking should be confirmed in writing.

2. Enquiries & Reservations

• Submitting an enquiry does not by itself guarantee room availability or create a confirmed reservation.
• Availability, room category, number of guests, dates and applicable rates will be confirmed by The Mud House.
• Guests are responsible for providing accurate contact, guest-count and stay-date information.
• Any advance payment, deposit or other booking requirement will be communicated before the reservation is treated as confirmed.
• Guests should retain their booking confirmation and payment record.

3. Check-in, Check-out & Guest Conduct

Check-in and check-out timings are communicated with the booking confirmation and may vary depending on operational circumstances.

• Guests may be asked to provide valid identification at check-in as required by applicable law or property procedures.
• The person making the reservation is responsible for the conduct of all members of their group.
• Guests are expected to respect the property, local community, staff, other guests and the natural surroundings.
• Damage caused to property, furnishings or equipment through negligent or intentional conduct may be recoverable from the responsible guest.
• Illegal, threatening, violent or seriously disruptive behaviour is not permitted.

4. Rates, Payment & Cancellation

Rates, taxes (if applicable), advance-payment requirements and cancellation/refund terms can vary by room, season and booking arrangement. The applicable terms should therefore be confirmed before payment.

Where a booking-specific cancellation policy is issued, that policy will govern the reservation. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the applicable cancellation terms and payment method.

Do not publish a fixed percentage, deadline or refund promise here unless The Mud House has formally approved that policy.

5. Property, Facilities & Safety

The Mud House is a mountain property in a remote Himalayan setting. Guests should follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the host or staff.

• Open areas, paths, steps, uneven ground, weather conditions and mountain terrain may require additional care.
• Children must remain under appropriate adult supervision.
• Bonfire or outdoor activities may be restricted when conditions make them unsafe.
• Guests should inform the host about relevant mobility requirements or special arrangements before arrival where possible.

6. Mountain Roads, Weather & Travel Conditions

Access to the property is through a mountainous area and travel time may be affected by rain, snowfall, landslides, road works, traffic restrictions or other local conditions.

Guests are responsible for planning their journey appropriately and should allow additional travel time. The Mud House cannot guarantee road or weather conditions that are outside its reasonable control.

7. Guest Responsibility & Limitation

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings, valuables and personal decisions during their stay. Reasonable care should be taken with phones, cameras, luggage and other valuables.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Where a loss, damage or claim results from a guest's own unlawful, negligent or intentional act, the guest may be responsible to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Privacy & Guest Information

Information submitted through this website or during a reservation may be used to respond to enquiries, process bookings, communicate stay details and provide guest services.

Guest information should be handled in accordance with the property's applicable privacy practices and Indian law. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information through a general enquiry form.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Mud House may update these terms when its services, procedures or applicable requirements change. The version published on this page should be treated as the current website version, subject to any booking-specific terms already agreed in writing.

10. Governing Law

These terms are intended to be governed by applicable laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts having appropriate jurisdiction under applicable law.
